Contemplation is not Meditation
Contemplation is to ponder to think on something ,anything.
Sages are often lost in divine contemplation, contemplatimg the Light ,God.
I may have seen pictures of a mango and heard how sweet it is but unless I have not eaten it I really do not know.
The same way one must be Enlightened to contemplate God.
Writing Poetry is a very high standard of contemplation where the poet fuses with the cosmos and crates words and sentences.
Contemplation is not meditation. It starts with contemplation then goes to meditation.
To contemplate your purpose of being here is vefry important in life.Meditation will show you the path you must walk.
A wise man contemplates life, fools know it all.
Meditation is One pointed concentration between your eyebrows with your eyes closed. You use your breath as the medium to fuse your soul with the supersoul.

Mother Earth a poem from Ponder Awhile
MOTHER EARTH
Mother Earth actually looks after me,
She neither expects nor charges a fee.
Every year fresh fruits she provides to eat,
For those fruits, one another man will beat.
So much water is there for us all,
For water it often becomes an ugly brawl.
A tiny insect on her I am,
Feeding me with her assorted jam.
Man keeps beating her with his big bombs,
When will he realize that she is alive
and that it is wrong?
Her we must begin to appreciate,
Immediately before it gets too late.
From our puny race she will defend herself,
You are just begging her to annihilate yourself.

He Loves what he"s doing
Mohit Misra is a poet whose book Ponder Awhile has won him accolades from around the world.
Read on to discover why this unconventional poet took to writing
Varun Godinho : eastside
Some writers have an inborn talent. Others have a flair for writing. And there are still others who have begun writing books due to a rather unconventional reason-a sudden attainment of the state of Nirvana. For Mohit Misra a 37 year old poet and author of "Ponder Awhile' life has come a full circle.
Woking with the merchant navy since 1995 he was an absolute atheist .It was during one of his sails in 2003 that he went into a meditative transition and attained the state of Samadhi – a term which is used to describe an enlightened one It was then that he decided to give up his worldy attachments, his job included and domsomething that would ap into and rlease the immense knowledge and wisdom which is accompanied with this state.
The poems encapsulate the universal theme of mankind with a spiritual background to each of them. The process of writing the book was certainly not an easy one."There were times that writing jut one of the poems could take me several weeks.I was constantly struggling to better each and every poem of mine " says Mohit.
Like all great minds, Mohit was initially ridiculed by family and friends when he begun writing his book."I had a number of bitter critics who said this was not my age and time to write such a book
And expressed serious reservations about me doing so" says a visible distressed Mohit while recalling those times.
However his perseverance and diligence eventually bore fruit and silenced his critics when he first published his book in 2005.The effort and dedication that has been put in has won him several kudos.on an online portal –bestbookbuys, his book has been declated to number one book for 2006 in the Poetry, inspirational and religious section. Amazon has included his book among their top 100 bestsellers.
Since the book has not constricted itself to any one particular religion but spreads the message of a universal and One God for all the religions, Christain priests have requested permission to include his poems as part of their sermons while holy men from the Hindu religion have openly spoken in praise of his work.
To date 1500 copies have been sold both in India and abroad. His book is available online and exclusively in Amazons retail outlets
In the country."Now that my book has got the required recongnition ,I intend to translate my book into several languages and thus further its appeal."Judging by the response that he has already received we are sure that this I one poet that the city of Pune can call its very own Shakespeare!

Holi -Celebration of the Light
Good or the LIGHT will allways win.The misuse of power with meditation will not last..
ON THE RIGHT PATH YOU WILL GET MORE POWERFUL WITH TIME .
All strenght has been given to the indivisual so he can help others he must use it to good.
No one will be spared if he or she uses divine or cosmic power for harm.
Self defence is another story.
Insult to the sages is something the Universe does not tollerate.

One with the universe
Shveta Vashist Gaur
My friends are yellow, brown and white,What difference does it make to light
Contemplative and simple, Ponder a While is not just a composition of some 66 poems, but an experience that leaves you with your thoughts alone. “I knew this would happen,” says Mohit K Misra, the 37 year-old former Merchant Navy sailor who underwent a revelation that not just changed his life, but also changed him as a human being.
“It happened when I was in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and found my enlightenment,” he recollects. So, while you go through the immense response that Misra has received for his work on the internet and in person, what leaves you wonderstruck is his way of composing his feelings. Framed in couplets, his poetry canvasses spirituality and the human mind. “I write in dohas to make even the most complex subjects simple. My emphasis has been on the metrical length and rhyme because that pattern is easy to understand and even remember,” he says. Very much so as the language is so unmistakable straightforward, that even a child can understand it. “
Having sold 1,000 copies so far, Misra wants to concentrate on propagating his message—oneness with the universe. “We usually separate ourselves from the universe and keep complaining about our misfortunes and various negativities. My book asks the reader to unite with the universe and be one with it,” he explains. Deriving inspiration from god, love and light, Misra says he has spent the last seven years reading extensively on spirituality and then was able to write on it. “One has to be prepared for death and know that we will all be gone one day,” he says.
Ever since Misra’s spiritual journey began with An Autobiography of a Yogi, he has read almost all the spiritual writers around, right from Herman Hesse to Mikhael Naimy and many more. And, it wasn’t like Misra was always prepared to talk about his thoughts openly. “I have thought a lot and only when I was ready about it, did I talk about it,” he says. The message that he now wants to propagate is, “God is not for others, he is for us only. And, it isn’t that sages and saints are people from another planet, they are all as human and as normal,” he explains.
Misra will soon be heading to Delhi for a poetry reading session for Dahiya Badshah, an Indian poet from Philadelphia.

You Do Not Have To Be So Called Vegetarian To Get ENLIGHTENED
GURU NANAK-THE PROPHET-THE MASTER POET-
Who is to say what is Veg and what is Non veg-It is the fool who argues on the merit of Religion.
Everything is alive even the plants.
Hunters have know to exist since the beginning of time.Huge populations live at the sea and eat fish as their staple diet.
My father is a Hindu a vegetarian and my mother a Parsee a Non Vegetarian.
For Parsees its not food without meat and that does not make them less spiritual.
I got ENLIGHTENED in the Merchant navy and was eating Non Vegetarian every day.
Basically whatever comes on your plate thank GOD the CREATOR for providing it to you and eat it.
Do not sensely, kill for pleasure that is insane and will have its karmic consequences.
Red Indians hunted and killed the Bisons but it was allways with lot of respect and never more than what was
required. There was respect for the CREATOR today I will kill to eat and tommorrow I will be used for some animals food
when I die its a cycle.

When To Act and When Not To Act
a-A priest"s village begins to flood seriously. In a few days the village is evacuated only the priest remains behind although a boat comes to fetch him twice.
He is then on his roof with the water up to his neck and the boat comes again. He again sends the boat back saying I am a man of GOD He will save me.
With time the water rises higher and drowns the priest. In the gates of heaven he meets GOD and says I am your follower why did you let me drown and die.
GOD says-BUT I SENT THE BOAT THREE TIMES
b-KRISHNA is serving food to his guest when suddenly he says he must go.
The bevildered guest asks what is the matter.
KRISHNA replies one of my disciples is in trouble he needs me, a wild cat is approaching him he calls for my help.
The guest knowing that KRISHNA was no ordinary man but an ENLIGHTNED ONE said please do go.
Shortly to the guest is surprised as KRISHNA returns really fast.
what happened asked the guest.
KRISHNA replied he picked up a stone HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH FAITH IN ME.
KNOW when to act and when not to act choose wisely.

Shivaling-Represents God Shiva and Enlightenment
There are three aspects to a SHIVALING.
1-The pillar or column represents the tunnel the soul must go through in meditation to reach the SUPERSOUL
2-The semi hemisphere in the centre of the SHIVALING is the SUPERSOUL In the beginning you see the SUPERSOUL as just a point of light. Then you move to and fro from it with every breath.Eventually the point of light grows in size and becomes huge like the size of the moon. This is when one must let go and implode into this light.
3.The circular ring around the SHIVALING is the explosion that happens after the implosion. You become endless a part of the LIGHT bliss.

Eternity
ETERNITY
My friends are yellow, brown and white,
What difference does it make to the light?
The joke that beholds us all,
Comes to us only at the moment of our greatest fall.
Death is our friend,
Where there is no trend,
Why fear it is really near.
Why show me the light, why confuse me?
Ignorance was bliss why did you diffuse me?
To know is to be a liar,
What better way to throw me into fire?
When in pain I say your name,
The reality that is, is no more the same.
The light that shines beyond the star,
Is the same in my heart.

Philosophy-Religious books rank 2.A Secular Age by Charles Taylor,4.Ponder Awhile by Mohit.K.Misra
http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1598991,00.html
When he got the call from the Templeton Foundation a few weeks ago, Canadian philosopher Charles Taylor admits he was totally surprised. That's because the past few winners of the annual Templeton Prize, worth more than $1.5 million and awarded "for progress toward research or discoveries about spiritual realities," has been given to scientists — physicists and cosmologists mostly, who have been willing to acknowledge that science alone can't necessarily explain the nature of the universe. It's clear that the foundation was consciously trying to counter the widespread impression that science and spirituality are inevitably at odds.

Shiva-Om Namo Shiva-Shiv Ho Hum
SHIVA is regarded by the HINDUS as
a-The first ENLIGHTENED human from whom man gained knowledge of the cosmic light.
b-God or the cosmic light-supreme entity-supremely intelligent -creator of all.
Hindus have two seed mantras concerning SHIVA
A- OM NAMO SHIVA-means I bow to ShIVA OR GOD
B- SHIV HO HUM-means I am SHIVA OR GOD
Both are correct.
It is easier for an ENLIGHTENED human to say SHIV HO HUM
So basically there are two I s.
a- the small i when you say OM NAO SHIVA meaning I the human bow to SHIVA- to GOD.
b- the big I when you say SHIV HO HUM meaning I am SHIVA my other or higher self.

Karma
Every action has a reaction.Every word you speak, every thought you have every deed you do
will have consequences which is called KARMA.
Bottom line do good and good things happen ,do bad and bad things happen.
No human is spared as the cosmos looks at all humans wether white ,brown or black equally.
It doesnt make any difference to the cosmos where you come from ,the colour of your skin
or he is rich or poor you are-all are equal.

Importanace of breath in meditation for Enlightenment
In MEDITATION the SOUL moves at incredible speed through a tunnel to the SUPERSOUL.
With every inhalation the soul moves towards SUPERSOULwhich is the source of all life -the ball of light the source and with every exhalation away from it.
We are dying and coming alive with each breath but are not aware of it.
Your breath is the vehicle for the SOULto merge with the SUPERSOUL or god.
PATANJALI says seven breaths of one pointed concentration gets you ENLIGHTENED.
When you are relaxed in meditation is when you can concentrate the most and then every breath is very very long.
The Buddhists call the last breath the Death point and this is when man must only be thinking of GOD.
Any other thoughts or desires and he will materialise them in order to complete them and so will come back in this life or maybe in another form or shape be reincarnated.-
The soul first implodes into the light and then exlodes out of it and becomes the cosmos absolute bliss with no beginning and no end and also no time-timeless.
