Book release--second edition "Ponder Awhile" by Mohit.K.Misra

Classically wrought in the ways of the sages, the beautifully penned and much-anticipated second print of Ponder Awhile shares the complexities of life as a simple and accessible dose of spirit and soul stuff. Author and poet Mohit K. Misra leaves no stone unearthed as he dons the robes of a mystic, though is plainspoken, lilting, and at times, playful with his language and words.

Written as Dohas or couplets, each stanza of the fifty-one poems found in this collection chases the glow of a new dawn of world enlightenment. Straightforward, uncomplicated and wise, with titles such as "Mother Earth," "Married to the Light," "Charity," and "Peace," the author examines and dissects the frailty of life, the inevitability of death and the most tender part of the stalk and the root. These poems are necessary, irresistible and evolved. Courageous in their simple message, God and His many faces are pressed into the window box for all to see and celebrate. The poet encourages introspection, deliberation, mediation and the search for deeper meaning. His poems of praise, poems of contemplation and poems of provocation sing God's praises, His justice and His grace. Knowledge leads to understanding, which leads to peace and, finally, to love. It is what the world needs—a little of God's love, the fabric, the sheer essence; the gems of the universe unfold on these pages. And we are, as readers, better for these gifts.

Peace

PEACE

Everybody is acting busy,
The mind inward uneasy.

One victory followed by a downfall,
To start again till nightfall.

Peace with all brings tranquility,
Mind altering reality.

Are these wars justified or are they lame?
It is with love and not terror does the One get tame.

This poem is in the new edition of "Ponder Awhile" which should be released in August.

Random thoughts

Unexplained celestial spheres ,balls of light in control of their movements are sighted.
Man also comes across ghosts or aliens, messages are recieved telepathically.
Spontanious combustion of the human being.
Gigantic geometrical designs vievable only from great heights.
The past ,present and future is intervowen.
Marks on the palm which reveal your life.
Celestial orbits,planets reveal your life.
Creation and dissolution, what is the purpose?
Fragmented pieces compromising the whole, like a huge jigsaw puzzle.
Everyday leads to our oblivion.
God comes and goes as he pleases,
constantly me he teases.
Animals are able to sense the divinty of man.
The human aslo has a sixth sense which has been subdued due to wrong guidance.
We are also categorised as animals-homo sapiens.
People will swear a miracle happened after they visited a holy place
of worship or a saints grave.Unexplainable ,beyond rationality.

Effortless-effort and meditation

Some say meditation is effortless and some that there is a lot of effort needed and like the Buddhist monks say effortless effort. Ex.cycling -learning takes a lot of effort in the beginning. One keeps falling getting hurt, getting up and trying again. After some time it becomes you or effortless-effort.A human learns to walk in the same manner, initially there is a lot of effort required and later on it becomes effortless. There is intense effort required in meditation initially. One must concentrate on a star in between his eyebrows.Initially its difficult to just imagine the star for a second, then for a few seconds..With time its becomes easier and one can concentrate on it for a longer and longer time automatically-effortless-effort.Patanjali-seven breaths of one pointed concentration gets you enlightened. Here when you become relaxed you are concentrating more and every breath becomes longer and longer, slower and slower. For someone who is stiff, initially he will be in pain if he sits cross legged just for minute but as he keeps practicing he will be able to sit for longer and longer periods of time.

The Holy Guru Granth Sahib

The Holy Guru Granth Sahib is the religious book of the great Sikh religion.A masterpiece o the highest order it is regarded as a living Guru.

Beyond any religion its is a compilation of poems of the Sikh Saints and various poets, masters and saints who praised the one divine light and not any idol.

Most of the hymns from the Sikh saints are from the great great Prophet Guru Nanak.

Then you have masters like the great kabir,Namdev ,Shaikh Farid etc.It did not nake a difference as to which religion the poet or saint belonged to as they belive God is One.

It is such a beautiful book and like they correctly say open any page and it will have relevance

to what you need at that moment.Simply put God talks to you through this masterpiece.

Eternity

ETERNITY

My friends are yellow, brown and white,
What difference does it make to the light?

The joke that beholds us all,
Comes to us only at the moment of our greatest fall.

Death is our friend,
Where there is no trend,

Why fear it is really near.
Why show me the light, why confuse me?
Ignorance was bliss why did you diffuse me?

To know is to be a liar,
What better way to throw me into fire?

When in pain I say your name,
The reality that is, is no more the same.

The light that shines beyond the star,
Is the same in my heart.

Death-work to be done-Why do hindus name their children after Gods?

The Buddhists call this moment as Death Point.

This is the moment the soul leaves the body. Its a very crucial moment for the human.

At this time the human must only think about God of the light and focus his energy on going towards the point of light.

If he has any other thoughts or desires he will then materialise himself once again in order to complete his desires.

The Hindus are known to have names which represent God. The reason for this is at the moment of death the parents wish to see their children, their last desire .By thinking about them by their name say he is called Ram he is automatically connecting to God and will go to that abode ,That of God-home-bliss.

Truth allways wins

Truth allways wins.

Truth is godliness and will allways triumph no matter what the opposition. For me opposition just makes me stronger and more determined.
Its possible that the other person takes time to understand maybe minutes ,days or years. When he or she realises that you had spoken the truth it will be appreciated.

Lies on the other hand can keep building up, covering for the previous one and you

could lose a precious relationship this way.Its about trust once it is broken its going to be very difficult for the person to forget and forgive.

To understand truth one needs to be in a similar vibration.
Here I talk about cosmic truths.

I would not understand till the age of 24 and then after my spiritual experience I would lap up books very fast, people would be surprised as to how fast I would finish a book.
Books on spirituality and philosophy became easy for me to read as I could relate with the words.I now find novels which I used to read when young very difficult something I loved earlier on.

Each person has his or her own time to come to understanding truth. This does not depend on age or education.

Some children like my book and I feel it bounces of the heads of some adults,
strange but true.

Autobiography Of A Yogi-Paramhansa Yoganada

This book was lying at my home for years as it was my fathers.I allways loved reading to the extent that I would read till 4 or 5 in the mornings untill my mother would come and shout at me and tell me to go to sleep yet I just couldnt go through a spiritual book.In fact I would open up Autobiography Of A Yogi and wouldnt even be able to go though the first page.

Then I had a spiritual experience in the Atlantic Ocean.I called my twin sister up immediately and told her about it, she said I have gone mad. I told another friend about my experiece and I got the same answer you have gone mad.

This is when I told myself to zip it Mohit you cannot talk like this you wil be called mad.
Now offcourse I have become a poet.Well anything in life if you try and surpress will one day explode and the same happened to me.
The Autobiography Of A Yogi was the first book I read after my experience and I just loved it.I was like you are not alone this has happened to people before. It gave me so much comfort. Since then I have read it I think four times AND its another book I recommend to all who are venturing on a spiritual Path.

Patanjalis Yoga Sutras

I sometimes think this is the best book I have ever read.I have read a lot of good books, so many masters have left their wisdom behind through their manuscripts, their books which are masterpieces.

In Patanjalis Yoga Sutras every single line and sentence is full of meaning and is just perfection.

No wonder he is called the a Father of Yoga.Anyone seeking the truth must read his sutras. He penetrates into the truth where many others have failed.

Thinking about this tea I am having. At times I pay at times I do not.

When I pay maybe my ego comes in the way and I say I worked so hard and paid for this tea.

Then when I get it free I obviously thank the owner for his kindness.

This tea is composed of water and tea leaves.

The water has come from a filteration plant, before that from rain or a river some time back.In the restaurant there is a tank full of water and a kettle has been uses to boil the water. These specific drops of water is what I consume .Every drop has been planned for me by the cosmos since the begginning of time , nothing is accidental or coincidental.

The tea leaves where were they grown, how did they come here, from where.Which shop was it purchased in. From the jug of tea these specific leaves were added for this tea.It must have taken months or years to cultivate these tea leaves. What stupendous planning. This universe is supremely intelligent and has planned who must get how much and where for all creatures including man.

Ape and Essence-Aldous Huxley

Aldous Huxleys sense of humour is just to good.I was laughing loudly while reading Ape and Essence. One of the most intelligent and funny books I have ever read.It takes intelligence to have a sense of humour.A fantastic book.

Listen to your entuition ,the signs

Listen to your intuition ,the signs.

You universe is your macro you and you are the micro for the universe.
Intuition exists and one must listen to it have faith in it.
The same way with the signs they exist in small and huge.
There are two ways one can look ate life.
Either this universe is fully alive and extremely intelligent and I am a small part i it.
Or only I am alive and intelligent and the universe is dead and just happens to be there.

In order to execute the cosmic will one must start walking the path shown having faith
the road wil be revealed to him once he arrives at the crossroads.

Reasons why crow shit is good luck

The old saying-If a crow shits on you its good luck.

I fully believe in it good things have happened to me when a crow has shat on me.I see it a sign of some good fortune coming my way.

Lets look at it rationally,

1.what are the odds of a crow being right above you or flying above you and its shit falling on you?

2.A small pebble, thing will hurt if it falls on you from a height-crow shit doesnt hurt.

and offcourse flowers falling on you is just a great experience. and also doesnt hurt.

3,Mystics from ages have seen the divinity in crows, they are considered the mystics friends.

An Indian system-When a person dies after the thirteenth day food is left for the crow to eat.

If the crow comes and eats that means the spirit of the dead one has departed otherwise it is still hovering around.

The Hindus believe the soul can go on its journey immediately or in thirteen days time. Otherwise prayers are required in order to help the soul depart.

Sometimes the soul hovers around as it is too confused over its own death that is the death of the body, the soul is immortal and imperishable.

An enlightened one doesnt need the help of higher entities but others coud do with their guidance in order to go to another dimension.

The Great Guru Nanak- some quotes

All the actots are brothers born of the same reality and ultimately bound to merge in the same reality.

So long as the play lasts, they are different but they were the same before it and they shall be the same after it.

The wise enjoy the play because they know that the opponents their own selves. They neither kill nor is anybody killed.

The light comes to all.

All are saints finished or in the making.

I am nothing, he alone is everything.

All around is the same he.

And I have become uniformly one with him.

Some awesome quotes of Osho

Some of Oshos quotes

The real things cannot be said, the real thing can only be understood.

No objective art belongs to time,it is forver, because it comes from beyond the mind, from eternity itself.

Your own words may not have been grammatical. That doe not matter, that is the freedom of the poet to open his heart, not to bother about grammer and not to bother about rules of language. You just put your words.

Truth

TRUTH

Bramha, Allah, Jevovah, Vishnu, Ahuramazda, Shiva...

What’s in a name?
A way to identify the same,
Geography, language is mainly to blame.

Your glory is such,
Man asks for too much.

Meditation or one pointed concentration is the key,
But who says there is no fee?

Day to dawn makes no sense,
What does? We call nonsense.

Who am I and why am I here?
Has just become my greatest fear.

Is justice to be done with the strength in my hands?
Or by sweet words maybe written in the sand?

When will you set me free?
So that I can be with thee.

How am I to live in bliss?
When I stop myself from giving all a kiss.

Why do I write I do not know?
It is only ink on paper to show.

An Enlightened One doesnt say he is Enlightened-what rubbish

An Enlightened One doesnt say he is Enlightened-what rubbish

To many Grandmasters and few masters thats the problem.

From the beginning of time we have Shiva who claimed Enlightenment the day is called MahaShivratri and celebrated in India till date. Considered the first Enlightened human.

Zaratushtra comes back from the hills and talks about the Divine light how two became one and he fused with the light Got Enlightened surely some called him mad and others understood he was speaking the truth.

The Prophet Mohammed had a revelation or got Enlightened and there were some who did not believe him .

Jesus claimed Enlightenment-said he was the son of God and me and my father are One.

Buddha climed Enlightenment talks about taking the middle path there is no need to go through severe auterities in order to get enlightened-Buddhas answer to prove you are Enlightened-nature is my witness.

Patanjali-seven breaths of one pointed concentraton will get you enlightened.
Krishna-some understood his divinity others mocked it.

Who but and Enlightened one can say he is Enlightened.

Stop trying to be a Grandmaster and decide how an Enlightened One should behave or what he should be doing.

like Guru Nanak says to uderstand the masters you must be in a similar vibration or you will call me a liar a fool. Even he was mocked by some poeple .

Some people tell me beacause you you say you are enlightened means you are not. These are
the fake gurus. The basic qualification to become a guru or poet is enlightenment.
How can you show a person the path if you have not seen the light yourself. You are like a parrot repeating what the masters have talked about without actually witnessing it yourself.
Only take advice from one who claims Enlightenment. The man who claims enlightenment is ready to die for this an ordinary human does not have the courage to say he is enlightened.
By trying to give me advice they are taking the short cut, I give advice to the Poet Mohit Misra. His book may be ranked one in the world for 2006 in Poetry ,ranked over greats like kabir,John Milton,Khalil Gibran,Shakespeare,T.S.Eliot etc but I give him advice I am the greatest, The Grandmaster.
I am open to learning and can learn from all but this is just too much.

If you have been to Africa you can say you have been to Africa its the same with enlightenment.

Who are you to decide what an Enlightened one should say or what he should be doing?

I beg you please meditate

You are seriously missing out on life if you do not meditate.

Meditation is off course very difficult -one pointed concentration-but the wise meditate and the fools are too busy giving something else priority and saying we do not have time.

Make the time 20 minutes in 24 hours is what god asks for.More time even better.

All your answers come in meditation. You give time to God and he gives his time to you, you ignore him thinking I am the one working so hard god does nothing for me you will land in misery. He does everything through you its the ego which makes one believe I am the doer.

I beg you please meditate I cannot meditate for you all I can do is try to inspire you on the path

of contemplation and meditation.

do not lament and wail when I die but you shoud sing Gods praise-Guru Har Gobind

Only one who has witnessed death and been one with God can speak as such.
The greatness of Guru Har Gobind the Sikh Saint witnessed in these words.

When you wish to embark on an undertaking ,pray about it and then get on with it. Finally he upheld the belief thet death is not final but that which completes the souls liberation, saying
"It is my order that you should not lament and wail when I die but you should sing Gods praise."

Three stages of life- Man -God Man- God

There are basically three stages of man.

First offcourse is man the starting stage where he gets covered up or layered with his ego.

Gets a name-family, a Religion, a country which he gets attatched to very normal.

The next is when he starts contemplating life starts meditating and gets enlightened
or enetrs into state of SAMADHI

whereby his ego goes for a toss gets desytroyed. He now understands God has died become one with him and materialises himself again. He sees one in all religions, humans countries become imaginary lines for him.The earth is one and not divided. We humans have divided oursleves.

He begins to preach on God as that becomes his job.God man.

The last stage is GOD when the human dies and does not return what is called MAHA SAMADHI.
Goes back home to the ligh to god to bliss.

Girls

GIRLS

Why in the world did you make girls?
Some so beautiful my head I have to twirl.

Does she know in me she creates a sensation?
I have started thinking of the word creation.

So many around so gorgeous,
My mind seems frivolous.

How the hell am I supposed to just stay with one?
I want all the pretty ones as they come,
Then these things I want none.

I know they are all but your form,
The rose comes with the thorn.

Show me the path I pray to you.
Then I will know what to do.

What is the biggest folly man lives with? Mahabharata

An interesting story comes from the Mahabharata one of the Masterpieces of poetry composed by the sage Vyasa and written by Ganesha.

Ganeshas condition to Vyasa in order thet he write Vyasa must not falter or halt while reciting.

Vyasa condition to Ganehsa-contemplate and understand what I am saying then write thus giving him time.
Deals with Krishna and The Pandava brothers Yudhistara,Arjuna,Bhima.Nakula and Sahadeva who have been exiled from their kingdom.
In exile a brother goes to fetch water from the nearby lake and doesnt return even after some time has past. Worried another of the five brothers goes to look and even he doesnt return.
Eventually four brothers go and do not return forcing the eldest brother Yudishtara to go in search of his younger brothers.
On reaching the lake he is confronted by the lake spirit who says he has captured his youger brothers as they were unable to answer his question and he will also take him in bondage if he doesnt answer the question correctly.
The question is -What is the biggest folly man lives ?.
Yudhistara answers correctly-Mans biggest folyl is that he lives kife like he will never die.
Because of this his priorites in life are all warped. He postpones important things which he should be doing now.

Sleep a kind of spiritual experience

What is sleep and why do we slee ?

Sure the body is tired and its a way to rest and recuperate but have you seen a

person fast asleep.

That person is right in front of you but is he or she is in some different world

oblivious to all that is going on including my presence.

I have had experiences of traveling which the saints call astral travel and say that it can be controlled.
Is it some way for me rather than meditation to connect again wit the cosmos some sort of a spiriutal experience I really do not know and wonder about it.

In sleep I would aften experience the feeling of a free fall which is a similar experience to meditation travelling in a tunnel at immense speed.
This life is strange.

Patience-the key of life- my story

I stated writing at the age of 30 and took it up full time at 33.
So many people mocked me when I said I had a spiritual experience in the Merchant Navy-got Enlightened and I must now write poetry and share the God knowledge I have gained.

I was given the signs to use the pen and thats what I told people.

They would laugh and say who do you think you are-Shakespeare - get a job make some money and I would say-this is my job and I am much better than Shakespeare which would make them laugh louder.

I didnt show my manuscript to anyone while I was writing.Today I have been ranked over Shakespeare on Best Book Buys a library which has over 5 miilion books from 28 bookstores including Barnes and Nobles and Amazon.

This has not happened over night but has taken me 5 long years of working full time on my book.
So often I would go hungry for days as I had no money, have slept in friends shops as I coudnt afford to pay rent.
My friends and family would not help me as they thought this would discourage me and I would do something else rather than write poetry as a full time profession.
Today I am getting support from those same people and its nice they finally understand.
I still have to get a publisher as my book is available as a POD on amazon.

Ponder Awhile has been ranked at 1 for 2006 in poetry books.
In Philosophy-Religious books have been ranked currently at 3.Ponder Awhile just below
2.A Secular Age by Charles Taylor who won the prestigious Templeton prize something I wish to win one day.
Sure its a joke I do not have a publisher.
Well more patience is required by me and its something I have and value.
Without it I may have given up on my book my poetry along time ago. I knew there would be consequences of walking the path of a poet-for me nothing else in life was more important than writing poetry.

The universe is your best friend all it asks is for a little time to do its thing.
I do my work and it does its work without fail.
So please I hope you get encouraged by my story and begin to have patience in order to achieve your dreams.

Trance a poem from Ponder Awhile

TRANCE

Most around me live in a trance,
Having no idea of your cosmic dance.

When does everyone get to know you?
Why reveal yourself only to a few?

It causes me so much pain,
When I talk of you all in vain.

In the middle of the ocean, in nowhere,
You showed me your presence everywhere.

Absolute delight and utter confusion,
From the moment of our fusion.

Countless in front are your entity,
All having an individual identity.

You are made of such fine light, love tissue,
No beginning, no end, an ageless issue.

At times I feel like a master,
Then on the other hand an utter disaster.

Jesus Christ the Messiah

Only a master of the highest order can give up his life to save human souls.

Killed mercilessly by the jealous Pharsee priests Jesus the Son of God lives on forever.

Forgive them for they know not what they do was Jesuss prayer towards the end/

Showing compassion for his killers Jesus was indeed the Messiah.

The Prophet Jesus was allways spreading the knowledge of God of the Light of love.

Various stories of Jesus are there. His life when he was young is not recorded. Some say he travelled to india learned from the Masters in India and went back to Spread knowledge of the Loght of God.

It is even said that he manged to escape with the help of his well wishers and sttled down in India Kashmir.Married Mary Magdaliene and had a child.

In India it is common to find Enlightened Masters married with children.

Married masters include Shiva, Krishna, Rama The Sikh saints amongst the many.

A Brilliant Spiritual Work, October 10, 2006
By
P. B. Jones "New Millennium" (Great Britain) - See all my reviews Some of the most poignant prose I have come across, in relating to all aspects of religion and spirituality through harmony and unity of purpose. Mohit, crystallises all the main themes of life and its transition into beautiful and simple language, giving the reader a basis for considering these moving criteria easily and thoughtfully. Really it is a very useful tool, when trying to understand these deep and often seemingly complex questions.
